Join the Jesse Lee Media Team

We are looking for volunteers to join the Jesse Lee Media Team! Whether you’re interested in specific positions or want to learn new skills, we would love to have you with us. If you have a busy schedule and cannot commit to being here every week, don’t worry! Volunteers will be part of a weekly rotation through a Google sign-up sheet, allowing you to choose when you’d like to contribute.

Available roles include:

• Camera Operator: The camera operator controls and switches between four different cameras so viewers can seamlessly see the service’s pastor, liturgist and musicians. The camera operator can zoom and pan three of the cameras, allowing for the best angles and even creativity in the presentation. Time commitment is Sunday morning from 9:00 – 10:45 a.m.
• Sound Operator: The best camera shot is pointless if viewers can’t hear what’s being said or sung! At the audio board, the sound person pushes buttons to mute & unmute microphones, and adjusts sliders to maximize the audio quality. Time commitment is Sunday morning from 9:00 – 10:45 a.m.
• Presentation Editor: This position requires making weekly updates to the ProPresenter presentation used during the Sunday morning service. Working from a “Service Plan” Google document, presentation slides are updated with text, images and video provided by the communications team or using ProPresenter’s integrated media, song and Bible databases.  Time commitment is 1-2 hours per week, done sometime between Friday and Sunday morning before 8:30 a.m. This work can be done on-site or remotely.
• Presentation Operator:  The presentation operator runs ProPresenter on a Mac during the service, controlling what is seen on a large video screen in the sanctuary, including text, images and videos. Some of the content from ProPresenter,  such as song lyrics and Bible verses, are also displayed on the @jesseleeumc livestream on youtube.. This position requires being attentive to the service progression and understanding the user interface of ProPresenter to run the presentation effectively. Time commitment is Sunday morning from 9:15 – 10:45 a.m.
