Maturity is peaceful, joyful, and ultimately satisfying. We are created by God with this Christ-like destination in mind. Training in Christianity is difficult because there are necessary changes and we resist recognizing let alone moving from our sinful propensities. September 10th
May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. Romans 15:13
Hope is good, one of the eternal things. Hope leads to joy and peace as an outgrowth of confidence. Believing is fluid and affirms that my vision does not capture all that can be seen. Hopeful believing anticipates that there is better “power” than what I have or even really know about. The Holy Spirit facilitates hope. The God of hope can accomplish more than we can ask or imagine and a hope which is not limited by my capacities can land in a peace that is not limited by my understanding. The
