The Community Table provides grocery gift cards to households experiencing food insecurity so they can buy essentials such as produce, dairy, meat and bread. The Community Table:
- Serves approximately 230 Ridgefield residents each month
- About 70% of recipients are seniors or single parents
- 100% reliant on donations
- $600,000+ in grocery gift cards distributed since 2020
Ridgefield Social Services is anticipating an increase in need with lapses in SNAP benefits and losses in eligibility for some categories, including able-bodied adults without dependents and people with refugee status. Jesse Lee is proud to be home to our Community Cupboard, let’s also help our neighbors shop for fresh food through grocery gift cards.
