“Mary and Martha Prepare for Christmas”
A Four-week Interactive Zoom Workshop
Sunday nights from 7-8:30PM on

November 28, December 5, 12 and 19

DEADLINE FOR SIGNING UP IS NOVEMBER 24

Activity kits are included and can be picked up at the Jesse Lee Narthex starting November 24.

Led by Rev. Maria-Pia M. Seirup, Executive Director, PeaceWork, inc.

Using the story Martha and Mary from Luke 10:38-42 as the scriptural foundation, the purpose of this study is to offer encouragement and practical steps for practicing God’s presence during the busyness that the holiday season can bring and amid the anxiety and serious challenges we are experiencing in our world today.

The overall goal is for the participants to increase their awareness of God’s light within themselves and to reflect it out to others. I hope the participants will come away with:
• an awareness of God’s transformational power in their own lives.
• a desire to begin or continue a regular practice of contemplative prayer time.
• tools and methods to sustain an awareness of God’s presence within and around them.
• an appreciation of the impact of practicing God’s presence in everyday living.

The study will be offered on Zoom  on Sundays, November 28, December 5, 12 and 19 from 7-8:30PM. Please click the SignUpGenius link below to register. You will receive the Zoom link for the four workshop sessions when you complete your registration.

Each session will include Advent music, followed by scripture reflection, silent contemplation, small/large group discussion, hands-on activity, and closing prayer/blessing.
