9:00 AND 11:00 SUNDAY SCHOOL CURRICULUM/ACTIVITIES ARE THE SAME
We welcome kids into a safe environment with wonderful, caring adults that love to teach and have fun. Adult-led small groups, lessons, crafts, games are just a part of the Sunday morning experience. And if we’ve learned one thing, we’ve learned this: when these kids come to know God there is no stopping them!
9: 00 AND 11:00 classes:
AN IMPORTANT WORD ABOUT SAFETY
All Children's Ministry volunteers are background checked and attend Safe Sanctuaries training. When your child is on campus, their security is a priority! We ask that parents be sure their children wear their name tags. If you are a first-time visitor, you will be asked to register your children at the Welcome table in the narthex area outside the sanctuary.. This information will help us better serve and teach your child. Your child will then be assigned to a Sunday School class based on age/grade in school. After the service, please pick up your children BEFORE attending coffee hour.
Our nursery provides a safe, loving and nurturing environment for infants/toddlers to learn about God’s steadfast love.We offer a small-group setting where your infant/toddler can experience God’s love in a fun and safe environment. While you attend service, your children participate in fun age-focused learning and interaction!Any questions regarding our nursery care or if you would be interested in becoming a volunteer please contact Pastor Maria-Pia Seirup, our Family Ministry Director, at 203-438-8791 ext. 105 or email firstname.lastname@example.orgOur regular, paid adult childcare provider is Nicolle Devlin. Nicolle has been taking care of our littlest ones for many years now. This warm and welcoming person promise to take wonderful care of your little ones! Please read the helpful guidelines below:
Nursery GuidelinesWhen packing your child's diaper bag, please include the following items. Two or three disposable diapers. No cloth diapers, please. Pacifier or other item, should your child need it for security. A complete change of clothes in case your child would require that. A bottle or cup of milk, formula, juice or water. Please label all personal items with your child's first and last name.Wellness PolicyWe operate a well baby program. For the protection of all the children, we can not accept a child with a runny nose, fresh cold (four days or less), fever, persistent cough, diarrhea or any other signs of illness. We request that you not place your child in our program while they run the risk of exposing others. Thank you in advance for helping to keep all our children healthy!Check-InWhen you arrive at the nursery, our care providers will greet you at the nursery door to receive your child and his or her belongings. (Please label all personal belongings.) Please sign in on the clipboard and let the caregiver know any information that will help in caring for your child. This could include feeding instructions, sleeping times, allergies and special needs. If you are a first time visitor, please come to the Welcome table in the narthex and fill out a Children's Ministry registration form for your child. This information will help us to best care for your child. We are now using cell phones rather than pagers. Should your child need you, you will be called on your cell phone. Please remember to put your cell phone on vibrate before entering the sanctuary. If you are called, promptly return to the nursery. Be sure your up-to-date cell number is listed on the nursery sign-in sheet.Saying GoodbyeAfter you have completed the check in process, simply wave goodbye! It is normal for little ones to cry and it usually does not last long. Our care providers will try to create interest in a toy or activity and give assurance that you will return after the service. If your child cries for an extended period of time, we will call you.Checking On Your ChildFeel free to check on your child at anytime, however, we ask that you please be discreet as parents can be quite a distraction. There is a window in the hallway door to the nursery for you to peek in. Pick-up ProceduresChildren should be picked up promptly at the end of the service before you attend coffee hour in the narthex.SnacksSnacks are provided for the children in the nursery. These items include Cheerios, goldfish crackers and water. If your child has any allergies, please make a note on the sign in sheet and inform the caregivers.CurriculumEven the littlest can learn! Regular learning experiences are planned using songs, play and supervised activities. Our toddler classes experience age-appropriate Bible stories.
